OVAL
Ovals are considered the ideal face shape. This shape can wear any design with flair. Bobbed, layered, close/full/long/or short, just about any style is suited for this face shape
SQUARE
Soften the edges of a square shaped face by directing soft wavy bangs down over your temples. Long hiar should fall to, or past shoulders. For a short style, keep hair style round and soft with height at the crown. If pulled up keep wisps of hair around the face.
ROUND
The goal is to create an oval appearance and lif t the face, Keep the sides close to the face and promote height at the crown. A layered Shag is the perfect shape for a round face. For short shape close sideburn wisps soften and flatter the face.
DIAMOND
To balancing a narrow chin, your best look is a rounded shape with fullness at the bottom. Wide wispy bangs help to create an oval look. The classic look for diamonds is a graduated bob that falls the chin, try a wispy design to soften the edges.
PEAR
Focus on a full corwn at top to create symmetry with the wide jaw. Layered looks, like the classic Shag flatter the Pear shape. Tuck hair behind your ear so as not to draw attention to our cheeks.
Short hair should not pass the neck line. While long looks should be kept tight at the nape.
HEART
This sape needs a softer, curlier syle, a chin lenght look is perfect. The objective..... to create width around your narrow chin. Side bangs draw attention away from the jaw line.
RECTANGLE
go for width and volume. Suitable short style include the Wedge design, while long manes in a full styles that falls at or above the shoulder. Bangs look great when just touching the brows and help to shorten a long shaped face.
Well Its hard to believe that school it starting. So the Homecoming dances are right around the corner. We love to do Updo's and are very experienced in doing them. There are a few tips to remind you of when you come in to get your Updo. Do not shampoo your hair the day of the appointment, if you do your hair will be too soft and slick for us to work with and keep your style. Be sure to wear a button down shirt. Many clients forget this and come in T-shirts which will be difficult to take off without messing up your new do! Be sure to book your appointment several weeks ahead of the dance or event to assure the time you want. Be sure to bring any hair decorations you want in your style, but we do have options for you here at the salon. We will look forward to doing your hair for your special occasion
Did you know that bleach swells the hair shaft 22%? So if you have fine or flat hair, specially on the top, and you just put 6 or 7 foil packs of hi-lights on the top that you would instantly get more body. Combine that with a mousse or gel (what ever works better with your hair) and blow dry your hair the opposite way of the way you style it and you would not believe the volume you get with out having to get perms. Some of you are thinking (I don't want blonde in my hair) well thats fine we can put the foil packs in your hair and tone it back to a lighter brown or even put some red in there. Just the bleaching service is what we need to get that 22% swell for the volume.
